These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GradeBlaster software application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by GradeBlaster ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using GradeBlaster, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Upon download, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use GradeBlaster for 14 calendar days at no cost. The trial includes all features with no functional restrictions.
Upon purchase of a Pro License, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use GradeBlaster on one (1) primary Mac for the duration of the license term (one year from purchase). The license is per individual instructor and may not be shared.
Upon purchase of a Department License, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use GradeBlaster on up to five (5) Macs within the same institution and department, for the duration of the license term (one year from purchase).
You may not:
Licenses are sold on an annual basis. You will receive an email reminder before your renewal date. Licenses do not auto-renew — you must manually repurchase to continue using GradeBlaster after your license expires. There is no penalty for not renewing.
Because GradeBlaster offers a full-featured 30-day free trial before any payment is required, all sales are final and non-refundable once a license key has been issued and delivered. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the software, please contact support before purchasing.
Exceptions may be made at our sole discretion for documented technical failures that cannot be resolved by our support team.
GradeBlaster uses third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT-4o) to analyze student submissions. You are responsible for:

GradeBlaster connects to Canvas LMS using your API access token. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Canvas API complies with your institution's acceptable use policies and Instructure's API terms of service. We are not affiliated with Instructure.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GRADEBLASTER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
